1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using StatusForge ("the Service"), operated at statusforge.net and statusforge.net, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and StatusForge ("we," "us," or "our"). We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Description of Service
StatusForge is a software-as-a-service platform that enables you to create and manage public status pages for your products and services. The Service includes status page hosting, uptime monitoring, incident management, email notifications, subscriber management, and related features.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Free and Paid Plans
Free Plan
The free plan includes 1 status page, up to 10 services, 100 email subscribers, uptime monitoring, incident management, scheduled maintenance, and email notifications. The free plan is available indefinitely with no credit card required.
Pro Plan
The Pro plan is a paid subscription at $9 per month. It includes unlimited services, unlimited subscribers, team members with role-based access, custom domains with SSL, removal of StatusForge branding, and priority support.
Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period, after which your account will revert to the free plan. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
- Distribute malware, spam, or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service beyond API usage
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Use the Service for any illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose
- Publish false or misleading status information intended to deceive
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this acceptable use policy without prior notice.
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you create on the Service, including status page configuration, service names, incident descriptions, and updates ("Your Content").
By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service. This license terminates when you delete Your Content or your account.
You are solely responsible for Your Content. You represent that you have the right to publish all content you submit and that it does not infringe on any third-party rights.
7. Subscriber Data
When visitors subscribe to your status page, their email addresses are collected and stored by StatusForge on your behalf. You are the data controller for your subscribers' data. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to collect and process their information and for providing your own privacy notice to subscribers.
We will process subscriber data only to deliver status notifications and manage subscriptions as directed by you through the Service.
8. Uptime and Availability
We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
We are not liable for any damages arising from service interruptions or downtime. We do not offer a formal service level agreement (SLA) at this time.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, logos, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by StatusForge and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without our written permission.
"StatusForge" and the StatusForge logo are trademarks of StatusForge. You may not use our trademarks without prior written consent.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StatusForge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StatusForge, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
12. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your account data within 30 days of termination, except where retention is required by law.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted, or that defects will be corrected.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
